Position : Sr.Co-ordinator – Advocacy

Background Information

Aide et Action (AeA) is an international development organization working for the cause of education of marginalized since 1981 in India with a vision of “a world where dignity is ensured for all men and women by education – a lever for human development”. The thrust areas of AeA’s intervention in India include quality education, inclusive education, livelihood education, women’s empowerment and education, early child care and education, disaster management and HIV /AIDS.

Location
To be based in Hyderabad

Essential Qualifications
• Post graduation in development related field is preferable otherwise
• Post graduates with development experience

Skills / experience required
• Highly motivated with self drive
• Ability to work under demanding situations
• Good Communication and organization
• Knowledge on education and development issues and policies of government
• Experience in lobbying, campaigning and networking

Primary Responsibilities
• Organize consultations on various issues concerning education and development
• Conceptualize and evolve plans and strategies for advocacy
• Representation in state level and national level networks and forums
• Facilitate the promotion of networks
• Organize campaigns
• Capacity building of partner NGOs and project teams towards advocacy
• Networking with government, NGOs and likeminded organizations
• A minimum of 5 years experience in NGO sector

Compensation package for the above position will be commensurate with experience and qualification.
