Background Information

Aide et Action (AeA) is an international development organization working for the cause of education of marginalized since 1981 in India with a vision of “a world where dignity is ensured for all men and women by education – a lever for human development”. The thrust areas of AeA’s intervention in India include quality education, inclusive education, livelihood education, women’s empowerment and education, early child care and education, disaster management and HIV /AIDS.

Location
To be based in rural areas of Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu

Primary Responsibilities
To head the rural development project of AeA focusing on education in tribal areas which include following specific responsibilities

• Program planning adopting participatory approaches
• Community Mobilization
• Implementation of Education and development programs
• Program and financial management of the project
• Liaison with government and other likeminded organizations
• Leveraging of resources for the program
• Documentation and Reporting

Essential Qualifications

• Post graduation in Rural management / Social Work / Anthropology / Sociology
• Graduates with development experience can also apply

Skills/ experience required

• Highly motivated with self drive
• Ability to work under demanding situations
• Good communication skills with the knowledge of local language (Hindi or Tamil)
• Willingness to stay and work in tribal areas
• Ability to travel intensively
• Experience in managing development projects and teams
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a rural development project

Compensation package for the above position will be commensurate with experience and qualification.
