Position : Co-ordinator – Communications
Background Information
Aide et Action (AeA) is an international development organization working for the cause of education of marginalized since 1981 in India with a vision of “a world where dignity is ensured for all men and women by education – a lever for human development”. The thrust areas of AeA’s intervention in India include quality education, inclusive education, livelihood education, women’s empowerment and education, early child care and education, disaster management and HIV /AIDS.
Location
- To be based in Chennai or Hyderabad
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare reports for internal and external audience
- Contribute / produce publications capitalizing organization’s experiences in the field of education and development
- Organize image building and fund raising events
- Management of organization’s web-site
- Media and public relations
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications or related discipline
Skills and experience required
- Highly motivated with self drive
- Ability to work under demanding situations and handle variety of projects
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Experience in branding, marketing, publications and business writing
- A full knowledge of media and public relations
- Knowledge in website management
- Excellent computer skills
- A minimum of 3 years experience in communication
