AeA's Intervention
ASSEFA started a project in Banswara district of Rajasthan with Aide et Action's partnership in 1996. The goal of the project is - holistic development of children based on needs and values preserving local tradition and culture .

Objectives
-
To provide education facilities and ensure total coverage of all eligible children in the project area

To operate schools and motivate parents to educate their children

To ensure retention in school through highly motivated parents as well as
by providing scope for socio economic development to meet the opportunity cost of a family compensating for missed out child labor income
-
To provide quality education to children through trained teachers and focus on child-centered education through play way methods
-
To ensure holistic development of children by bridging the gap between purely curriculum based academics and need for values, culture, tradition and wisdom through Child Resource Center
-
To improve the health status of the children and the community by providing awareness on preventive measures and providing remedial measures where required,
and
-
To sustain the project after a stipulated period by instilling managerial skills in the community structure established for the purpose.
Major Accomplishments

Running 31 day schools and 37 Balwadis to provide quality education to all eligible children in the project area

Ensured holistic development of children by bridging gaps between curriculum based academics and need for values, culture, tradition and wisdom through the Child Resource Center

Quality Education
